Good design for kiddos

I love well designed children's goods! In our current "throw away" culture I feel it is so important to teach our children mindful consumption, to look for a few well designed, timeless pieces that will last forever instead of primary colored, Fisher Price, $5.99 jumbo packs of worthless stuff. I want my children to experience long term value instead of instant gratification, an important lesson that I think spills over into every other aspect of their lives.
