tiger lily + smee(a really really chubby smee).
Sela's costume was my VERY FIRST sewing project. I kept asking my teacher(who is 84! and so awesome) if I could just make a pillowcase instead. She said no, and I'm so glad she did! It feels satisfying to create something with my hands, especially after spending hours pouring over projects on a computer. A tangible finished project is a good good thing.
I hope you all had a wonderful + happy Halloween!

Oh Rachel, I burst out laughing when I saw Smee...That is SO cute! Those are some creative costumes for sure.
By the way, way to go on the sewing project! I have been wanting to learn how to sew for a long time but I'm scared to try. Good job!
(!!) for your first sewing project ever you've got to be thrilled with the result, right? I mean, how adorable is that--so much better than a pillowcase!
Rachel should have pointed out that she also made Smee's hat (pom-pom and all) for her second sewing project.
She's just an amazing lady like that.
